Our team

Claire Wheeldon, Head Teacher

Claire is a fully qualified Montessori teacher, holding the Montessori Diploma (Level 4). She is mother to two children, and the youngest previously attended Grasshoppers. She is currently working towards Early Years Professional Status, the governments recognised standard for graduate level early years practitioners.

Lucy Davies, Assistant Montessori Teacher

Lucy is a registered childminder. She is in the first year of her Level 4 Montessori Diploma. She is mother to two children and her youngest attends Grasshoppers. She has previous experience in childcare and education, plays the clarinet and piano and has a chemistry degree.

Jacqui Chan, Assistant Montessori Teacher

Jacqui is a registered childminder. She is in the first year of her Level 4 Montessori Diploma. She is mother to three children and her youngest attends Grasshoppers. She has previous experience in childcare and education, plays the guitar and has an english degree.

Leah Fookes, Assistant Montessori Teacher

Leah has an amazing ability to help children settle and feel at ease very quickly. She has a lovely unrushed manner and takes time to get to know each child as an individual. She is about to start her training for NVQ level 3 in Early Years Education. She has previously worked as a childminder and is Mum to three children.

Our team of supply staff

We have a team of supply staff who help us to deliver a reliable preschool, by covering for sickness and training. All our supply staff have been fully checked with Ofsted and approved to work in our nursery. All have experience of childcare as childminders, preschool assistants, teachers or experienced parents. Our team is currently made up of: Rosemary Foxley, Fiona Court, Diane Steeples and Janis Smith.
