Our team

Claire Wheeldon, Head Teacher

Claire is a fully qualified Montessori teacher, holding the Montessori International Diploma (NVQ Level 4). She is mother to two children, and the youngest attends Grasshoppers. She is currently working towards Early Years Professional Status, the governments recognised standard for graduate level early years practitioners.

Hayley Dixon, Montessori Teacher

Hayley has 15 years experience in early years care and education. She is currently studying for her Montessori International Diploma and is qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education. She is mother to three children, and her youngest previously attended Grasshoppers.

Lucy Davies, Assistant Montessori Teacher

Lucy is a registered childminder. She is mother to two children and her youngest attends Grasshoppers. She has previous experience in childcare and education, plays the clarinet and piano and has a chemistry degree. She has a strong interest in early years education and hopes to study for an early years qualification shortly.

Jacqui Chan, Assistant Montessori Teacher

Jacqui is a registered childminder. She is mother to three children and her youngest attends Grasshoppers. She has previous experience in childcare and education, plays the guitar and has an english degree. She has a strong interest in early years education and hopes to study for an early years qualification shortly.

Our team of supply staff

We have a team of supply staff who help us to deliver a reliable preschool, by covering for sickness and training. All our supply staff have been fully checked with Ofsted and approved to work in our nursery. All have experience in the childcare field as childminders, preschool assistants or teachers. Our team is currently made up of: Fiona Court, Diane Steeples, Tania Child, Janis Smith and Sarah Murphy.
